Trips will not orginate from the venue. Contact either of the Canoe people below to arrange a canoe trip.
PRICES FOR ADVENTURE OUTPOST We'll pick up your crew at the time of your choosing (maybe 10 AM?) and then drive them down to the launch site at Rum Island County Park. From there, they'll do a 2.5 hour paddle down to Hwy 47 Bridge. We'll pick them up and drive them back to the Farm-to-Family. The total time--from pick up to return to FTF would be about 4 hours.
If you'd like to set up the special door-to-door trip, we'll need people to call and make a pre-paid reservation. That way we'll know exactly how many boats to bring, etc. We'll also need to set a firm pick up time. We'd need therer to be a minimum of 5 boats in this crew for us to be able to do this.
The cost for this special door-to-door trip will be:
- $45 per canoe (that's for 2 people. It will be $15 for extra person in the middle of the canoe).
- $35 per single kayak.
- $45 per tandem (2-person) kayak)
These prices include boat rental, vest, paddle and shuttling to and from the Farm-to-Family grounds.
Another option, for anyone who wants to save money or wants to paddle on a different time or section of the river than this, is for them to just come to Adventure Outpost and do it the regular way (where we shuttle them to the river from the store, put them in and then pickn them up at the end of their trip and drive them back to Adventure Outpost.
If they do it this way, we'll give them special Farm-to-Family discount rate. Here are the prices:
4 hour paddle from Hwy 27 to Hwy 47:
- $35 per canoe (usually $38) (that's for 2 people. It will be $5 for extra person in the middle of the canoe).
- $25 per single kayak. (usually $28).
- $37 per tandem (2-person) kayak. (ususally $40)
2 hour paddle from Hwy 27 to Rum Island County Park
- $31 per canoe (usually $34) (that's for 2 people. It will be $15 for extra person in the middle of the canoe).
- $22 per single kayak. (usually $24).
- $34 per tandem (2-person) kayak. (ususally $36)
There's no need for them to make reservations if they are coming to the store to do it that way. All they have to do is show up at Adventure Outpost in time to do their trip (last sign-in at 2:30 PM)and we'll sign them in and put them on the river. Easy breezy! Just be sure they bring some kind of ticket stub or proof of entry to FTF so they can get the discount.
